Westside CARES - $59,000 raised in 2025

So many beer festivals across the state are for-profit enterprises; drawing on local enthusiasm for craft beverages to turn a tidy profit for event organizers. Even many festivals with charitable partners make only a modest contribution from total proceeds to advance philanthropic goals.

Among these events, the Feast of Saint Arnold is a stand-out, donating the vast majority of its net profits directly to its partner, Westside CARES. In 2013, Chapel of our Saviour Episcopal Church launched the first Feast of Saint Arnold on the chapel grounds. In 2025, the Feast of Saint Arnold team members exceeded their goals and presented Westside CARES with a check for $59,000. Over the past four years including the 2020 pandemic year the committee has donated over $100,000, which brings their running total of money given to charity since inception ten years ago, to a staggering $360,000.

Westside CARES provided services to more than 29,000 neighbors. Services included food, clothing, transportation, assistance with utilities, rent and medical needs as well as mail pickup, consultation and documentation assistance.
